Chenango River Floodwall holds at 321 Water Street

To paraphrase Branch Rickey on baseball, flooding is a game of inches.

It was a close call, within 6 inches, but the Chenango River DID NOT flow over the floodwall along its east bank protecting the future home of the TechWorks! museum at 321 Water Street.  Several inches of water seeped through floor drains into lower sections of the building and covered parking lots, but CT&I's collection, archives, and records are safe and dry.

Kudos to our neighbors for their help Thursday to raise CT&I's collection out of harm's way, in anticipation of the breach of the flood wall that did not occur.
